Your daily challenge this week is to not consume food and/or beverages (other than water) after 8 PM. The reasoning behind this is attributed to your body's natural cycle; further explained in Fit for Life.
I have heard about this type of rule before (not eating after a certain time at night) and wondered if there is something significant about the time itself or if it has more to do with not eating a certain number of hours before you go to sleep. I would think the impact/benefit of not eating after 8PM would vary if you went to sleep at 10 or 12 or 2 but I don't really know. I'm not trying to suggest that the challenge should be changed, just curious about the source of the benefits from this rule.
There goes "2nd Dinner"; usually consumed between midnight and 2am. OR...can I count that as "1st Breakfast"?

ReplyDeleteHow does something like green tea fit into this mix?
